For the Rogue Matilda woman, her city is her catwalk and her style is an expression of her personality. She's not afraid to embrace colour.

The driving force behind the brand is to create playful flats that are not only comfortable but become the focal point of an outfit due to their signature colour pop laces. This manifests itself in the use of eclectic materials such as feathers, pompoms, velvet, pony-skin and python effect leather, which have all become synonymous with the brands collections. This animalistic aesthetic coupled with premium leathers and suedes creates the perfect fusion of classic and quirky, with a forever focus on reinventing the brogue.

Designer and founder Katie Matilda Cary entered into the shoe business following years of frustration at the inability to find the perfect flat shoe: pumps were un supportive, trainers unprofessional and traditional brogues unflattering. Rogues provided a fashionable, well-made, alternative to all this. With added sass.

All our shoes are hand made in one small factory in Porto, Portugal. It is a family run factory who have been making shoes for years, and all the workers pride themselves as artisans and experts in their field. All our leathers are by-products of the meat industry and our carbon footprint is minimal as most materials are sourced and made locally in Portugal. As a brand we encourage people to buy fewer, better quality products and to look after and resole shoes over the years. As of yet we have not made any 'vegan leather' shoes as these materials are essentially plastic and have a high PVC content which is the worst plastic for the environment. Pleather isn't as durable as real leather, so the shoes unfortunately won't last as long.
