What do you love most about your job?
K - We've just made our first hire (shout out to our Content & Community Manager Cat) and it feels good to be building out a team who care about words as much as we do. We swap articles, instagram posts and podcast recommendations in our team meetings and are trying out a monthly book club. And we call it work.
E - Hearing all of the weird and wonderful ideas that people have for businesses. Writing stories about the wonderful ones.
Where's your favourite hangout?
K - Is it cheating to say home? That is probably the most truthful answer. The more useful answer is Brockwell Lido. Swimming is my happy place and the thing that sorts me out when I feel out of balance.
E - Golborne Road on a Saturday. Love Goldfinger for furniture (a social enterprise with an apprenticeship programme), Phoenix for vintage clothes (downstairs), the eggs from Lowry and Baker, the saltfish and rice from the Trini stall on the corner, and takeaway curry from Palki.
What's top of your playlist right now?
K - Lana Del Rey's Norman Fucking Rockwell (like many other millennial woman, I'm sure) and Snoh Aaelgra's Ugh, Those Feels Again.
E - Password Change and Reason to Stay by Olivia Dean, Paralysed by Nilüfer Yanya and Lizzo's album Cuz I Love You (now and forever)
What's your most loved piece in your wardrobe?
K - It was a pair of patent leather Opening Ceremony boots with thick threads which I wore a weird amount for about five years, until they died an unceremonious death after my best friend's hen earlier this year (RIP). Now it's probably a fluffy Shrimps coat which I managed to bag wholesale.
E - This pink poofy dress I got under the Westway on Portobello for £30 (which I love telling people with a wild 'can you believe it?' gesture ).
How many pairs of shoes do you own?
K - Not that many in the scheme of things, maybe 12? I would like to wear more but I find buying shoes intimidating. If anyone would like to hold my hand through it then I'm down.
E - Probably about 20 but I wear about 5. I cannot deal with anything uncomfortable and won't go through blisters. Few make the cut!
What do your Rogues say about you?
K - Show me a ruffle/tassel/frill and I'm yours.
E - That I made a bad decision getting a star tattoo when I was 16 years old, but am still into stars. That I like doing tap dances for my Gran. That I never have an umbrella.
