Pattern and perfection is what comes to mind when you enter the Wicklewood showroom in South Kensington. Not only are you met with an abundance of colourful tableware and interior delights, you are also greeted with the beaming faces of the founders; Rosie and Caroline.
Wicklewood was created by these best friends with a focus on making a house a home through the addition of easy and affordable pieces- something that they felt was lacking within the world of interiors. They have achieved this through working with expert artisans from around the world to ensure the best quality and each of their small designs will have a big impact on your home. With something for everyone's tastes, they're designing decor for the modern nomad that is meant to move with you and last a lifetime, and we’ve come away with a wish list as long as our arm.

What do you love most about your job?
C: The hunt - I love seeking out new artisan groups and unique pieces from around the world to add to our collection. I also love meeting new people, which is a requirement of having a small company, and I love working with my best friend.
R: The ability to be adaptable. I worked at a big corporate company before Wicklewood and found the inflexibility infuriating and the bureaucracy boring. The beauty of running a small business is that you can pivot and can be adaptable to change, it makes things fun and really keeps you on your toes. No day is the same and you never know what new adventure is round the corner.
Where's your favourite hangout?
C: I like Hillgate village in Notting Hill. The Hillgate is a great pub and I love going there for a drink followed by dinner at Mazi or Suzi Tros, the best Greek outside of Greece :-)
R: I'm happiest when I have a (large) glass of wine in my hand and I am surrounded by my favourite people (& dog). Depending on the seasons I’d choose a cosy glass of red at The Sun Inn in Barnes, a pale rosé by the river at The Angel on the Bridge in Henley, or a crisp glass of white at Gold in Notting Hill.
What's top of your playlist right now?
C: Maggie Rogers - Love you for a Long Time
R: Wiggly Woo - Tumble Tots, my daughter insists we have it on repeat. Send help. Also loving the podcast My Therapist Ghosted Me.
What's your most loved piece in your wardrobe?
C: I have many, I am a bit of a shopaholic. But, probably my Marc Jacobs x D. Porthault dress, it's a fun mix of classic and contemporary and feels really fun to wear.
R: My Seventy & Mochi petrol denim jumpsuit. Their denim is unbeatable IMO. Although I don’t fit into it anymore as I am 5 months pregnant.
How many pairs of shoes do you own?
C: Too many to count, but they are mostly flats, I am not much of a heels lady.
R: Circa 25 but I wear about 3 in rotation.
What do your Rogues say about you?
C: When it comes to fashion, more is more and I love a bit of sparkle, especially in my step.
R: That I am desperate to get out and party this xmas season…
