Molly Mahon

Molly Mahon is a super woman who designs, creates and sells beautiful, and original fabrics, wallpapers and functional art pieces for the home. Mollys designs are inspired by her surroundings, both at home in Sussex and on her travels in India where she works with artisan craftspeople.  With her love of the English home always in her mind she creates pieces to enhance our homes and make people smile. She firmly believes that every home should be a colourful reflection of its inhabitants; which could not be more in line with our Rogue philosophy or wearing clothes that reflect your personality and make you happy.

What do you love most about your job?

I love that I love my job!  It fulfils me creatively, emotionally, physically and mentally.  I love working on new patterns and playing with colour, I love the people in my team that work so passionately to make my business succeed and I really love the journey it is taking me on, the people I meet, the opportunities that are coming my way.  I feel very proud of and excited by how many people we are attracting and the best thing is that we are using an age old time tested craft that people can really relate to. I was smitten with block printing the first time I tried it and I think that people enjoy a craft story and want to get involved themselves; we now offer a growing schedule of workshops that both the client and I get an enormous buzz from. Its wonderful that I can offer fabric and wallpaper collections as well as a go at the actual craft, it really brings it all to life in the most joyous way.

Where's your favourite hangout?

Jaipur, Rajasthan

What's top of your playlist right now?

Blinding Lights by The Weekend - I have a nearly teenage daughter, she keeps me in the musical loop!

What's your most loved piece in your wardrobe?

Ooh tricky. My workwear dungarees that I live in, the coat that my husband bought me before he was my husband, or the first block printed scarf I had printed that I never take off, or is it the tweed jacket lined in pink silk my Granny had made for me when I was in my twenties.  So hard to pick one item!

How many pairs of shoes do you own?

I mean barely any! I seem to mostly wear boots and trainers, so not really proper shoes, but thanks to finding your cool brogues I can see my collection about to grow.

What do your Rogues say about you?

I think they show that I am a confident and empowered women with a of sense of humour!
