We teamed up with Clio Peppiatt to created embellished designs for her SS18 LFW show: where by the classic Rogue Matilda slippers have been updated with bespoke fabrics for a Clio-flare. Prints vary from silver mock-croc, to red silk, and a starry constellation black design, all with perfectly formed bows and faux pearl with Swarovski crystal hardware. To finish it off, the leather lining is a smooth baby pink: part of the designers pastel-perfect colour palette.
Clio comments that “the contrast between classic femininity, toughness and modernity is a recurrent theme in my work, fused together to create clothes and accessories for the modern woman”, explaining that “this aesthetic is reflected in the Rogue Matilda brand, through their use of beautiful, premium fabrics and comfortable, practical shapes”. Founder-come-creative director Katie Matilda Harland describes how match-made the collaboration is, “we both share a love of texture and colour, that’s wrapped up with a unique sense of humour…we both launched in late 2015, so as relatively new brands it’s a brilliant opportunity to collaborate and produce something that is bold and feminine”.
